The Tatras

The sculpture representing the peaks of the High Tatras is based on my original design and executed using glass cutting, grinding, sandblasting, polishing, and bonding techniques. It is complemented by a metal disc symbolising the sun. The actual realisation was preceded by sketching and the creation of a cardboard model.

The piece was created as a final project for the theme My Native Land during my post-secondary studies in Glass Design at the Secondary Vocational School of Glassmaking in Lednické Rovne, under the guidance of Mgr. art. Peter Šipoš.
