A selection of portraits: oil paintings, pencil and charcoal drawings, various dimensions
My journey with portraiture began at the age of twelve. At first, I created pencil drawings based on photographs of models from magazines, and later, I began to produce my first oil paintings.
What draws me most to painting faces are the eyes. When a portrait is near completion and I breathe life into it by adding reflections of light, the face awakens in a magical dialogue of gazes.
Although I have created dozens of portraits throughout my life, I have always found the most fulfilment in painting people whose souls I know.
I capture faces primarily using oil painting, as well as charcoal and graphite drawings with pencils of various grades.
