The sculpture was created at a workshop in the cultural and tourist center Hájovňa Červená studňa in Banská Štiavnica, during which we had to create a work reflecting this experience.
At the beginning, we listened to the story of how Hájovňa was created. The word that resonated was “cooperation”.
A collaboration of people who came together to build this place on a plot of land that was not far from a dump. They sacrificed their free time and built a space for meeting, helping in many ways, organizing concerts and exhibitions. And selflessly, which is so rare in this materialistic age.
That’s why I chose the shape of a chain for my sculpture. Because cooperation is like a chain and everyone who participates in it is one of its links.
The statue is made of chipboard. It is functional, I wanted it to find another use at Hájovna as a table, bar stools or sitting around the fire.
